An honest note: there is no ESPR delegated act for a digital product passport for lighting yet (Regulation (EU) 2024/1781), and the sector is not in the first wave of priority product groups. The structure shown is a working one: it brings today's real obligations — energy label, EPREL, ecodesign, RoHS, WEEE — into one place and prepares you for what is coming.

Energy efficiency class D (scale A–G)
Useful luminous flux 3600 lm
Power consumption 36 W
Luminous efficacy 100 lm/W
Colour temperature 4000 K — neutral white
Colour rendering index (CRI) Ra ≥ 80
EPREL registration No. 1876543 — public record
EPREL is the EU's real public database for energy labelling — the QR code on the label already points to the product's data. The passport invents no new values: it shows the same declared data, but together with everything else about the product.

Flicker (PstLM) 0.4 (requirement ≤ 1.0)
Stroboscopic effect (SVM) 0.3 (requirement ≤ 0.4)
Lumen maintenance L70B50 ≥ 50,000 hours
Separate control gear (driver) Replaceable — removable without damage
Light source (LED board) Replaceable with standard tools
Regulation (EU) 2019/2020 requires light sources and separate control gears to be removable from the luminaire without damage. These parameters are already declared when the product is placed on the market — the passport simply makes them available at the product itself.

Frame and housing Aluminium, 610 g · 42% recycled
Diffuser PMMA, 280 g · marked per ISO 11469
LED board Aluminium substrate · 96 LED chips
LED chips Contain gallium and indium (rare elements)
Driver Electronic module, 220–240 V · replaceable
The LED chips contain small amounts of gallium and indium — high-value elements with limited supply. Separate collection of the end-of-life luminaire allows them to be recovered instead of being lost in general waste.

CE marking Yes · Declaration of Conformity No. SS-DoC-2026-0114
UKCA marking Yes — for the United Kingdom market
RoHS — Directive 2011/65/EU Compliant — no exemptions used
WEEE — Directive 2012/19/EU Registered producer · separate collection
Test reports (LVD / EMC) For authorities
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the housing means the luminaire must not be disposed of with household waste — take it to a separate collection point for electrical and electronic equipment.

Driver replacement From the back, without removing the panel · 4 steps
LED board replacement Standard tools · public instructions
Spare parts availability 7 years after the last unit sold
Spare part delivery time Up to 15 working days
The driver is the most common point of failure in LED luminaires. When it is a replaceable module, the panel is not thrown away over a burnt-out driver — exactly the behaviour ecodesign encourages and the future ESPR passport will document.

Supplier names sit at the “professionals” access tier — visible to repair services, recycling centres and market authorities, not to competitors. The public tier shows the country and the stage.

Disassembly time ≈ 8 minutes · 1 person, standard tools
Plastic marking Yes — per ISO 11469 (PMMA, PC)
Recycled content 42% of the aluminium — declared
Packaging Cardboard, 100% recyclable
At end of life the panel is accepted free of charge at WEEE separate collection points. The dismantlable design lets the aluminium, board and driver be separated for recycling in minutes.
This is the public tier. The full working structure is with us.

A luminaire's obligations today — the label under Regulation (EU) 2019/2015, the EPREL record, ecodesign under Regulation (EU) 2019/2020, RoHS, WEEE — are already data you declare. WIARA maintains a working field structure per product group so you are ready when ESPR reaches yours. If you manufacture lighting, start from what you already have.
