What the market charges

Search for what a Digital Product Passport costs and you will mostly find contact forms. As of 31 August 2026, most DPP providers publish no public price list — the price arrives after a call, and depends on the negotiation.
WIARA publishes its prices. A buyer is entitled to compare before sitting down with a salesperson. This page explains what drives the bill — with any provider, not only with us — and then gives our numbers.
One thing before the numbers: the software is rarely the largest line. Collecting and structuring the product data usually costs more than the subscription, and that cost exists whoever you choose.
A fuller breakdown of the pricing models themselves, and of the hidden costs, is in our July 2026 article: How much does a DPP cost in 2026 — pricing models and factors.
The six variables that move the price with any provider
Passport level
Per model, per batch or per individual item. Model passports cost most each and are fewest; item passports are cheap individually and run into millions.
Active models
Almost every plan is tiered on this. What counts is how many products you keep published at once, not how many you have ever created.
Overage
What happens when you exceed the plan. This is where providers differ most, and where the difference is least visible up front.
Sector templates
Fields differ by product group. A ready template is included; a bespoke one is usually a one-off fee.
Your own domain and brand
Whether the passport opens on your address or the provider's. Almost everywhere this is a separate line.
Integration
Whether data is typed in or arrives by API from your ERP or PLM. The second costs time once and saves work every month.
WIARA offers a free plan at €0 per month that includes three passports and is not a trial. WIARA's paid plans are Starter at €33 per month, Growth at €125 per month and Pro at €419 per month.
Beyond the included limits, WIARA charges €2.40 per additional model passport, €0.50 per batch passport and €0.15 per item extension. A bespoke sector template from WIARA is €600 one-off, and a custom domain €119 per month. All amounts are in euro, VAT included, and current as of 31 August 2026.
These are WIARA's prices and apply to the DigitalProductPassport platform only. Other providers set their own prices.

Digital Product Passport pricing
Yes. WIARA's free plan is €0 per month with no time limit and includes three passports that are fully compliant — not demonstrations.
Both. WIARA charges a monthly subscription for a plan with included limits, and a separate price for anything beyond it: €2.40 per model passport, €0.50 per batch passport and €0.15 per item extension.
Because their price depends on the negotiation. For some there is a reason for that — complex rollouts, very different customers. The effect is the same either way: you cannot compare before entering a sales process. WIARA publishes its prices so the comparison happens before the conversation.
The data. Collecting composition, origin, documents and certificates from suppliers usually costs more than the software subscription — with any provider. Budget for it from the start.
In Bulgaria there are open digital-transformation schemes under which DPP spending is eligible. Amounts and deadlines change, so check the current terms before relying on them.
