Digital Product Passport software compared (2026)

Comparison · last verified: 13 October 2026

This page is for manufacturers choosing a platform to create and publish Digital Product Passports (DPPs) for the EU. It puts eight platforms side by side. This is not a complete list of DPP software: WIARA chose these eight, and many other vendors exist, including in Bulgaria and the wider region.

Every cell in the table comes from the vendor's own website, read on 13 October 2026, and says only what the vendor says about itself. We did not test the products. The section after the table is our reading of how each vendor describes itself.

Disclosure: WIARA DAAS EOOD (ВИАРА ДААС ЕООД), a software company in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, makes one of the eight platforms, DigitalProductPassport by WIARA. It is the last row of the table.

All rows were read on 13 October 2026. "Not stated" means we did not find the point on the pages listed under Sources; it does not mean the vendor lacks it.

How each vendor describes itself

These notes summarise how each vendor describes its own customers and coverage. They are in no order of merit.

Circularise describes itself as "mission-critical infrastructure for global manufacturers" and names textiles, furniture, iron & steel, construction and batteries, among other groups.

Spherity's VERA is aimed at "manufacturers, importers, and distributors". It names batteries, textiles, tyres, furniture and metals, and builds on the EU Business Wallet and eIDAS 2.0.

TrusTrace names fashion, footwear and textiles and says it serves companies "from enterprise giants to agile startups and global suppliers".

EON addresses brands and names fashion, footwear, electronics, beauty, jewellery and home goods, and lists EPCIS 2.0 among its standards.

Kezzler is "designed for compliance teams and IT managers who need DPP to work at scale" and names food, consumer packaged goods, apparel and batteries among its industries. It says battery passports are registered with the EU DPP Registry. It names GS1 EPCIS 2.0 and contributes to CIRPASS-2 and CEN-CENELEC work.

DPP-Tool is self-service and describes itself as built for SMEs. A small company can sign up and start on its own, with a free plan of 5 products.

PassportCraft is also self-service, with a free plan of 3 product-model passports and a trial of its Pro plan for new accounts. It states plainly that it does not register passports with an EU registry. Its data is hosted in Ireland.

DigitalProductPassport by WIARA is for manufacturers in textiles, furniture, iron & steel, construction materials and batteries who want each passport page in all 24 official EU languages and the price known before the first conversation. There is no self-service sign-up: every plan, the free one included, starts with a scheduled call. The free plan covers 3 passports in total. Its connection to the EU DPP Registry is still being built; Kezzler and Spherity describe theirs as working or interoperable today. Companies that want to sign up and start on their own can do so with DPP-Tool or PassportCraft.
